Hi, I’m Coach Donovan!

I’m an on-demand Certified Personal Trainer and Primal Health Coach who helps you thrive with customised, science-based fitness programs and nutritional guidance.

I know what it’s like to feel hopeless in the face of health setbacks and how frustrating it is to try to achieve health and fitness on your own.  I overcame a severe back injury and numerous health setbacks. Through years of education and perseverance, I conquered my health challenges. Now I use that education to help people push past their perceived limits. Because I believe restoring your natural health is achievable, even with big obstacles in your path.

I’m a health and fitness geek. I’m always earning new certifications in exercise science, training techniques, and nutrition. My passion for learning has enabled me to work with and learn from some of Canada’s top therapists, nutritionists, and trainers. I’m also a bit notorious for pushing against the grain of the fitness industry, with it’s generic, cookie-cutter programs and quick-fix gimmicks.

When you work with me, you’ll always get personalised programs, exercise instruction that works for your physiology, and health coaching that’s backed by science and delivers results.

Education

Coach Donovan holds a diploma in personal training and sports nutrition from the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI) and is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports of Medicine (NASM) with specialisations in Sports Nutrition, Weight Loss, and Behaviour Change.

For clients following a paleo and keto diet, Donovan is a Certified Primal Health Coach and can support and enhance his clients’ training programs and goals from an ancestral health perspective.

Donovan is a dedicated life-long student of N1 Education, arguably the most authoritative certification for mastering program planning and exercise execution and biomechanics for strength and hypertrophy training.
